Why should you rent a mailbox?
By renting your personal mailbox, you get an address that you can use as a CO address. Our mailboxes are particularly suitable for craftsmen and medium-sized businesses. But even entrepreneurs and large companies benefit from our mailboxes: become independent of regular mail delivery times and focus on the essential aspects of your business again. A special advantage: the storage box where your mail is waiting for you is significantly safer than a regular mailbox.
The history of mailboxes
The idea of mailboxes as lockable pickup compartments originated in the United States. In the 1850s, the postal service offered letter boxes for mail pickup. This idea proved successful and made its way to Germany through Switzerland.
Initially, lockers were only available for postal use in Württemberg and Bavaria. Official mailboxes have only existed in Germany since 1901. Nowadays, each mailbox is associated with an individual number, which is legally regulated according to DIN 5008. Larger companies in Germany can omit the mention of their mailbox number. Instead, they receive their postal code.
Comprehensive security and flexibility with your mailbox
Flexibility
By renting your personal mailbox at LAGER EIN, you can pick up your mail at any time; you are not bound to postal carriers or pickup times. An additional advantage: mail delivery to our LAGER-EIN mailboxes is often faster than conventional delivery. If needed, you can store your mail in your mailbox for a few days in a secure location. Furthermore, having mail delivered to a central address ensures a high level of discretion. In addition to regular mail, registered and valuable items can be delivered to your mailbox, protecting them from unauthorized access.
Security
Compared to traditional house mailboxes, the security of our LAGER-EIN lockers is not limited to the available locking mechanism: only authorized individuals equipped with a mailbox key can pick up the mail. If you wish, you can provide other individuals with a mailbox key and authorize them to pick up your mail.
Our mailboxes at LAGER-EIN
Our mailboxes are located in facilities with 60 compartments. When you choose to rent a personal, lockable mailbox, you receive it with an address and an individual number.
Nationwide, the rule applies that mailboxes must be completely emptied within the following seven days. By renting a mailbox at LAGER-EIN, you become independent of this rule: from now on, you decide when and how often you want to empty your mailbox. However, please note that your mailbox must still be emptied regularly to meet any expiring deadlines.
